LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Decatur County students Sammi Brewsaugh, Bonnie Robbins and Morgan Tomson are heading to the 40th annual North American International Livestock Exposition (NAILE) held in Louisville, Ky.
The event is scheduled to run from Nov. 9 to Nov. 22 and is recognized as the world’s largest purebred livestock show. The show features more than 26,000 entries and nearly $750,000 in prizes and awards. The event takes place at the Kentucky Exposition Center.
Brewsaugh will bring two junior market goats to the program, both in the Boer goat category. Robbins has entered six Toggenburg and Alpine dairy goats for the competition. Tomson, of Westport, has entered five animals into the beef category. These include head of Chianina, Maine-Anjou and others.
Champions from youth shows are sold at the Sale of Champions, which begins at 6 p.m. Nov. 21.
