Decatur County Farm Bureau recognized for “Falcon” award

Indianapolis — Members of Decatur County Farm Bureau were recognized for their achievements at the Indiana Farm Bureau state convention, Dec. 7 to 8 in Indianapolis.

Decatur County took home County Recognition Program awards in membership outreach, issue engagement, influential organization, young farmers and youth, public relations and education. The county reached “hawk” level in each category.

The Indiana Farm Bureau County Recognition Program identifies contributions that county Farm Bureaus make to the organization and gives ideas for planning activities. The cardinal award is the first level; the hawk is the second level. Counties that achieve hawk status in all five categories receive the falcon award.

Decatur County Farm Bureau was represented at the event by Kim Yager, Don Yager, Steve Gauck, Roland Shirk, Kimmie Gauck, Sandy Dierckman. Other attendees were Bruce Vanderbur, Donna Shirk, Nick Wenning, Julie Wenning, Norb Bedel, Kate Bedel and Jerry Dierckman.
