Edward and Luella (Harpring) Lecher will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary May 1.
They were united in marriage May 1, 1954, at St. Louis Church in Batesville. The reception was held at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Greensburg.
Ed is retired from his work as a self-employed mechanic and Luella is a retired seamstress. She worked at Minear’s until the store closed. She has created and altered countless wedding, bridesmaid and prom dresses over the years.
Ed and Luella have two children, Brenda (Chuck) Emsweller of Clarksburg and Julie (Tom) Keillor of Greensburg. They have three grandchildren, Chad (Jennifer) Emsweller of Evansville, Ashley (Adam) Hungate of St. Paul and Danielle Keillor of Greensburg. They also have four great-grandchildren, Charlie and Julia Emsweller and Eddie and Joey Hungate.
Per their wishes, no formal celebration is planned for Ed and Luelle’s anniversary.
