New Institute to Huntington
Huntington University is partnering with a best-selling author to launch a new institute and master’s program. The curricula at the Townsend Institute for Leadership and Counseling will be based on the teachings of John Townsend and focus on study areas such as scriptural teachings and neuroscience research.
Schneider Acquires Florida Company
Indianapolis-based The Schneider Corp. has acquired qPublic in Florida. The government services company says the deal gives it a stronger foothold in the Southeast and adds a new office in Florida.
Indiana Part of Drug Company Settlement
The State of Indiana will receive $2.1 million as part of a settlement regarding allegations that a global pharmaceutical maker unlawfully promoted three drugs. The payout by involves GlaxoSmithKline LLC’s Advair, Paxil and Wellbutrin and is part of a larger, 44-state resolution.

Franklin College has elected Katharine Kruse to its board of trustees. She worked as a retail store manager and consultant for more than 20 years before her retirement.
