Santee Beachfront Grill opens its doors to the public

Greensburg — The Santee Beachfront Grill held a grand opening Monday, May 13, opening its doors to an excited crowd.

Penny Howard, owner of the new business cut the ribbon in front of a group Decatur County residents, including several members of the Greensburg-Decatur County Chamber of Commerce, before welcoming everyone inside for a tour of the new eatery.

The restaurant will be open to the general public, not just Lake Santee residents.

While there have been a number of seasonal restaurants at the location over the years, Santee Beachfront Grill will be the first restaurant open year-round. The eatery will be open seven days a week for lunch and dinner service and is set to open at 11 a.m. Closing hours vary depending on the day.

The full menu has an assortment of undoubtedly tempting meals to offer, including steak, chicken and fish, as well as a selection of traditional burgers, wraps and tenderloins and a salad bar. Carry out orders are available and there is a fully-stocked bar for patrons over 21.

When the weather permits, customers may enjoy their meal on the deck outside as they take in the stunning view of the lake. The deck features numerous tables and on open, airy set up. While use of the beach remains open only to Lake Santee residents, it appears likely anyone can appreciate the view while they eat.

Howard says the Santee Beachfront Grill has an excellent staff that are eager to serve local residents and provide them with a positive atmosphere in which to enjoy a delicious meal.
