---- — GREENSBURG – Rolfes, Garvey, Walker, & Robbins is pleased to announce that Jennifer A. Sturges has recently joined the firm as a new associate attorney.
Sturges graduated Cum Laude from Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law in May 2013, with a Juris Docorate degree and a Certificate in Environmental and Natural Resources Law. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Butler University in 1991 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature.
While in law school, she was named to the Order of the Barristers and was a semi-finalist in the 2011 Staton Moot Court Competition. She represented IU McKinney as a team member at the American Bar Association’s Appellate Advocacy Competition held in Seattle, Washington in 2012, and was also on the IU McKinney team that advanced to the Quarterfinals in the National Environmental Law Moot Court Competition held in White Plains, New York in 2013. While in law school she completed two judicial externships at the Indiana Court of Appeals and the Decatur County Superior Court. She also worked as a summer legal intern for Rolls Royce of North America.
Prior to law school, Sturges was the Executive Director of the Greensburg/Decatur County Chamber of Commerce from 2004 until 2010. Formerly, she also served for 10 years as the Human Resources Director for Harcourt Industries, Inc. in Milroy, and for two years as Human Resources Generalist for Shoe Carnival, Inc. in Evansville.
She is actively involved in the community as a member of Greensburg Rotary and currently serves on the Board of Directors for Legal Aid – District 11. She has formerly served on the board of directors for the Greensburg/Decatur County Economic Development Corporation, Decatur County Community Foundation, Carousel Play and Learn Center, and Greensburg Rotary.
Sturges joins Bill Robbins and Stephanie Kress at Rolfes, Garvey, Walker & Robbins, located at 132 E. Washington Street in downtown Greensburg. The firm is a general practice firm, including the areas of Civil, Trial, and Appellate Practice, as well as Criminal Defense, Probate Law and Family Law.
