Church Briefs

Greensburg Daily News

---- — Sandcreek Baptist Church

Just a few reminders of dates and times for upcoming services.

Remember that on Sunday morning, Dec. 22, the youth will be conducting our morning service. I’m sure you’ll want to be there to support them and join in the fellowship of the service. That evening, about 4 p.m., they will meet at the church with anyone interested in going caroling. Practice your favorite Christmas carols and plan to join them in this fun evening that will conclude back at the church for hot chocolate and cookies.

We are planning a 6 p.m. candlelight communion service on Christmas Eve.

What a wonderful time to remember the Christ Child who gave His life for us.

It’s time to bring your offering/Love gift this Sunday to be included in this year’s total for our church. Seems we all have a lot to be thankful for.

Weather permitting, the Faith Singers will practice this Saturday at 9 a.m.

Seems like our plans depend mostly on what the weather is these days. Schools have been delayed and canceled because of that beautiful white stuff that’s so pretty coming down if you can stay inside.

If we have family that has to be out and about in it, we offer up our prayers for their safety knowing that God hears and will answer with safety for everyone. We should stay in touch with God all year long, every day; not only when the weather is bad and we’re asking for His protection. Think about that when we have a beautiful, sunny day next June....and we WILL have sunny days again. Just tell Him a simple “Thank You” and attend church somewhere this Sunday.

He’ll be happy to meet you there.

Liberty Baptist Church

Sunday, Dec. 22

Liberty Baptist Church will have Sunday School at 10 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall.

The lesson, “Jesus is Born,” will be taken from Luke 2:1-17; Devotional Reading: Galatians 4:1-7, and Background Reading: Luke 2:1-20.

Church services will begin at 11 a.m. in the Sanctuary with Pastor Robert “Bob” Leitgabel bringing the sermon, “Peace and Unrest” from Philippians 4:7 and Matthew 2:13-23.

It is the fourth week of advent and is focused on peace and how we can have that at Christmas.

We welcome all to come join us for a time of worship, praise, prayer and fellowship. May God bless all.
