Church Briefs

Sandcreek Baptist Church

Activities at Sandcreek at this time seem to be many and all are most important.

The youth are now practicing for their Easter program, and next Sunday evening they will run through the parts and music during their evening meeting. Plan to attend and in the meantime, if you have a speaking part, practice it often.

The Faith Singers will practice at 9 a.m. Saturday morning. Hope you can be there as we’re doing some intense practice on our cantata.

If you can/will sew, mark next Monday, March 31 on your calendar, and plan to come to Sandcreek to help assemble those “little dresses for Africa.” Bring your sewing machine if you can. The ladies of the ABWM and others, from the church, are planning a morning session to begin at 10:30. A meal is being planned and served to those who are in attendance. Hope you can join us.

The new Secret Place devotionals are now in the wall display in the hallway. Be sure to pick one up and use it each day. We are going to have a contest to design tee-shirts we plan to have available for purchase.

These tees will be worn by the church baseball team and those who come to cheer them on.

The youth plan to wear them on their trips and outings. There will be numerous times that they can be worn by anyone. Plan now to purchase one for yourself. We are holding a design contest for the tees. You can pick up a contest entry blank with a tee-shirt outline to use in creating your design. You can choose a design for the front and/or the back. Also, specify

the color of the tee if needed. You have three weeks to ponder your design and turn it in to the office or Molly.

  • Poverty has its advantages I must confess to a severe case of poverty. I never took a vow of poverty; it just seems to have worked out that way for me. I am so poor the church mice have packed their bags and moved on. If I knew where they moved to, I might join them.Being poor
