Church Briefs


“God Prepares For Deliverance,” will be taken from Exodus 3:7-17; devotional reading: Exodus 4:10-16; background scriptures: Exodus 1-4. Church Service will begin at 11 a.m., in the Sanctuary. Pastor Robert (Bob) Leitgabel will be giving the sermon, “Shade On A Hot Day,” from Isaiah 32:1-2.

Bible Study will continue at 6 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall, with study focusing on 1st & 2nd Samuel.

St. Mary’s

At 11:30 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 2, there will a Memorial Mass procession to the cemetery to remember our loved ones who have died.

St. Mary’s students will compete in the county Spell Bowl at 6 p.m., Monday, Nov. 4, in the South Decatur Jr./Sr. High gym.

At 7 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 5, there will be a Pre-Baptism session in the Education Building.

At 6 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 6, RCIC in the parish office. Religious Education is at 6:30 p.m., and 1st Reconciliation Parent/Child session starts at 6:30 p.m., in the gym.

At 8:30 a.m., Thursday, Nov. 7, we’ll hold our annual cleaning of the church. RCIA will be at 7 p.m. in the Education building.
