Church Briefs

First Christian Church

We welcome you to our 8 a.m. worship service (traditional) and the 10:30 a.m. worship service (contemporary) at 425 North Broadway, Greensburg.

Sunday School is at 9:30 a.m.

This Sunday, we’ll look at the 12th chapter of The Story—“The Trials of a King.” The Story takes specific selections from the NIV scriptures and places them in chronological order so the reader can better understand how God’s story and our story intersects.

If you would like to join us in this study, a participant book is recommended. Books for all ages are available at christianbook.com or locally at Rainbow Books. If you would like to catch up on the sermons, recordings are online at www.fccgreensburg.wix.com/home, you can request a CD through the church office, or visit our Facebook page at www.facebook.com/FCC.

Greensburg Classes on The Story are available during Sunday School, Wednesday nights, and in small groups. For more information, please call the church office at 812-663-8488.

Elev8 classes for children, junior high youth, and adults will meet this Wednesday from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. with a meal served for children, junior high youth, and volunteers at 5:45 p.m. Senior high Elev8 classes will meet Sunday night from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. with a meal served at 5:45 p.m. All classes at both sessions will dig deeper into The Story.

On Saturday, May 3, there is a free breakfast delivery for those in need. Call the church office at 663-8488 to request a breakfast delivery.

The Senior Saints Dinner is at 5:30 p.m. May 3 in the Family Life Center. To sign up to attend, please contact Jennifer Gunter at 812-614-2481.

A Retirement Party/Open House for Dorothy Mahan will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday, May 17.

You are cordially invited to help us celebrate with Dorothy in the First Christian Church Family Life Center.
