Greensburg — Church Briefs

Sandcreek Baptist Church

On this Sunday, the 15th. the deacons will be serving communion as part of our traditional worship service.

For those of you on the Christian Board you will be meeting this Sunday, following the 10 a.m. worship service.

Ladies, you are urged to sign up for the upcoming Mother/daughter banquet to be served Saturday, May 11. The time to be announced later. Don’t have a daughter? Adopt or borrow one or two for this day.

Another “sign-up” you won’t want to miss is for our upcoming, one Sunday a month, “All Sing” worship service. We will be passing a “sign-up sheet” around for you to submit your favorite hymn/hymns to be included. No limit as to how many you can submit.

This is a new idea and we hope you will join us in this new adventure in worship. I will announce the designated Sunday, soon.

As I write, today, the daffodils are finally near full bloom and I expect to see new, small, green leaves on the trees in the near future. It is exciting to look and watch for new color and blooms as we travel about. It tells us that God has once again given us another season to enjoy.

Isn’t He a great and generous God?

We don’t even have to do anything to receive this beautiful gift. He puts it there for us to enjoy. But shouldn’t we at least remember to be grateful and tell Him thank you?

I hope the warmth of the springtime weather will encourage you to get out and attend the church of your choice this Sunday. We’ll welcome you, should you choose us at Sandcreek.
