Greensburg Wesleyan planning weekend of community service

Greensburg Daily News

---- — GREENSBURG — The Greensburg Wesleyan Church’s Outreach Committee announces they will be dedicating the weekend of Oct. 19 and 20 to community service.

Members of the church will be going out into the community to help with odd jobs and minor household repairs that people may not be able to do on their own.

Rev. Doug Preston said, “In the past, we have had similar programs where we performed odd jobs for members of the church. This year, we are excited that our church has grown to the point that we can now branch out further into the community. Ephesians 6:7 tells us we should serve our fellow man as if we were serving the Lord. As a church, we feel we should share our gifts with others. This will be also be an opportunity to teach the youth of our church the value of serving others.”

If you need your gutters cleaned, have minor household repairs or yard work completed and are unable to perform those tasks yourself, please call the church office 663-6230. Deadline to submit your request is Sept. 30.
