Sandcreek Baptist Church

We, at Sandcreek, look forward to more exciting days/events to come. Don’t forget that this Sunday, Oct. 6, is Rally Day. We look forward to visiting with/welcoming old and new friends and members. The morning worship service will have music by the youth, with deacons serving communion. Following the service we will gather to enjoy a cookout, corn-hole, hillbilly golf and other games. There will be food, fun and lots of fellowship. SAVE THIS DATE and plan to join us for the day.

The following evening, Monday, Oct. 7, will be the beginning of our “Fall VBS.” It will continue through the Oct. 11, and the theme of the week is “Son West.” You’re urged to wear your cowboy hats, jeans, cowboy boots or any other western attire you choose. We’ll have a rip-roaring good time learning about Jesus, and being with friends old and new.

We’re anxious to welcome you to our church for the week. If you’re there by 5:30 we’ll serve you a free meal; the rest of the evening will be spent with music, crafts, Bible lessons and lots of fun and fellowship. The evening will end by 8 p.m. SAVE THE DATE!!

The next two weeks we will be collecting donations for the World Mission offering. Don’t forget to bring your non-perishable food donation for the Edna Martin Christian Center in Indianapolis.

The Faith Singers will practice at 9 a.m. Saturday morning. It’s not too late to join us. There’s always room for another voice offering praise to our God.

Liberty Baptist Church

Sunday, Oct. 6

Liberty Baptist Church will have Sunday School beginning at 10 a.m. The Thankful Hearts Class lesson, “The Promise Of A Future,” will be taken from Genesis 15:5-21; Devotional Reading: Hebrews, 11;8-16, and Background Scripture: Genesis 12:1-7; 13; 15; 17:8. Our church service will begin at 11 a.m., in the Sanctuary. Pastor Robert (Bob) Leitgabel will be continuing the series of sermons on I Peter Chapter 3, “Suffering For Good.” Communion will be celebrated during the service.
