Money for a mission

Greensburg Daily News

---- — GREENSBURG – The women of First Presbyterian Church recently held their annual rummage sale in the church basement.

Proceeds from this fundraiser benefit mission projects such as Bread of Life, New Directions, Human Services and global projects.

During the sale this year, this group was able to provide food to a young lady who was waiting for her first paycheck from a new job. This food came from the “Sharing Table” on which food is kept every day and then taken once a month to Human Services. All church members are asked to contribute to the “Sharing Table.”

The women’s group meets twice during most months and for special events. This group is sporting the new “First Presbyterian” shirts. Church services begin at 10:30 a.m. Sundays with Sunday School at 9:30 a.m. Everyone is invited to the “Church on the Square.”
