Church Briefs

(Continued)

Today the weather man predicted a coming frost soon. That means the flowers will most certainly be gone until next year. However, it’s promising to think about seeing them again in all their beauty. How like it is when we say “Good-bye” to a family member knowing we’ll meet them in Heaven someday. Won’t that be a joyful reunion?

Do you need to get back to attending a church somewhere or just start fresh with a new one? Sandcreek awaits you on Sunday morning at 9 a.m. for Sunday School or 10 a.m. for our traditional service with hymns, a children’s story time, prayer, and a message from God’s Word. Sound like something you need/want? We’ll save you a seat.

Lighthouse Chapel

Lighthouse Chapel welcomes you to our Gospel Sing. It will take place Sunday, Oct. 27, at 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. at Lighthouse Chapel on Co. Road 700 South. Come and receive a great Blessing in the Lord. For more information, call Pastor Lee Creech at 812-663-8074.

Christ Lutheran Mission

Christ Lutheran Mission will meet this Wednesday evening at 6:30 p.m., as we continue the study: “Come Thirsty.” This week’s topic will deal with redefining prayer.

Waiting can be hard, but waiting can also be worthwhile. What things do you consider worth waiting for? All are welcome to attend as we meet at The Fine Grind, 120 East Washington Street.

For more information, call: 812-614-2160 or 812-662-5154. You may also log onto www.doclayne.com.

Liberty Baptist Church

Church Service will begin at 11 a.m. in the Sanctuary. Pastor Robert (Bob) Leitgabel will be giving the sermon, “Give Me One More Chance,” from Luke 13. We welcome all to come and join us in a time of worship, praise, prayer and fellowship. May God bless all.

Bible Study will continue at 6 p.m. Sunday night in the Fellowship Hall.

  • Poverty has its advantages I must confess to a severe case of poverty. I never took a vow of poverty; it just seems to have worked out that way for me. I am so poor the church mice have packed their bags and moved on. If I knew where they moved to, I might join them.Being poor
