The 11 and under Indiana Diamonds fast pitch team placed 3rd in the United States Specialty Sports Association (USSSA) State Tournament in Columbus on June 13 -14.

The Diamonds kicked off the weekend with an 8-2 victory against the Indy Blast before suffering a 7-5 loss to the Southern Indiana Crush.

On Sunday they played three games in the double-elimination tournament. The Diamonds beat the Indy Edge 8-5 to set up a rematch with the Blast which they won 8-0 to gain the finals of the losers bracket.

In that game, the Southern Indiana Crush avenged the earlier loss by defeating the Diamonds in a fiercely competed 9-8 game.

The Diamonds have qualified to play in the 11 ad under USSSA National World Series in July.
