Greensburg had its first test Friday night against Indian Creek and

generally passed its first exam.

The test, however, exposed some areas that must be improved

before they start hitting for real in front of a state-wide audience at

Lucas Oil Stadium Saturday.

“The defense played well but the offense struggled with penalties.

We couldn’t get any consistency. We’d move the ball, then we’d have

a penalty and have to reset.” said Coach Eric Schreiber. “We did score on a pass to Jeremy Dance from Chris Blankman.”

The defense generally played well giving up one touchdown to

Indian Creek. As would be expected form the Braves, the touchdown

came on a pass, and it was set up by a pass.

“They were able to hit one over the middle and then caught a

touchdown pass in the end zone on a blown coverage,” Schreiber

reported.

Offensively, the Braves ran about half the time but did not do well
