They may have been back in their stadium, but Greensburg played like they were under the big lights of Lucas Oil Stadium.
Pirates the successfully rebounded from last week’s loss to
Shelbyville by taking a 34-6 victory over Jennings County.
The Pirates put the game away in the second half on touchdown
runs by Chris Denton and Mitch Tuttle. On the first of the runs,
Denton kept pushing the pile and broke free near the Panther’s
45-yard line. In the open field, there was no one left to challenge Denton's charge to the end zone.
Minutes later he scored from near the 20-yard line to make the
lead 27-6 with 10:38 to go.
The final score of the game came on a four-yard keeper by Mitch
Tuttle who barely nudged his way into the end zone.
Complete statistics for the game will be printed as soon as they are
made available to the Daily News.
