Quilted art on display at Art on the Square Gallery

---- — GREENSBURG – Art on the Square Gallery, 114 E. Washington Street, on the north side of the Courthouse Square in downtown Greensburg, is pleased to again this year present original quilted small works by local residents during the month of February.

This special show of amazing fabric art includes traditional patterns used in original ways, hand and machine quilting, applique, hand dyed fabrics, embroidery and more.

“We are thrilled to have quilted art pieces again this year, said Gallery Director Sue Magargel. “The gallery is filled with new work – all different from last year. The colors, designs and craftsmanship are again outstanding.” Featured artists include Sue Koors, Rose Collins, Alice Rust, Susan Wilson, Judy Glore, Rita Hellmich, Nancy King, Jean Stutz, Dottie Bilbrey, Alice Woodhull, Margaret Parker, Nancy Derheimer and Jan Wantz.

Also featured at the gallery this month is a special exhibit of portraits and figure studies by Greensburg High School graduate and current Indiana State University art student James Shuck.

“Quilted Art ~ Small Works” at Art on the Square Gallery, 114 E. Washington Street in Greensburg will be the feature of this month’s “Second Friday at the Gallery” from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 14.

Everyone is welcome to meet the artists, view the show and enjoy refreshments. The exhibit will be on display for the entire month of February during regular gallery hours, Tuesday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. For more information visit or call 812-663-8600.
