Gallery night out pieces featured on the square

Greensburg — For the past year, Art on the Square Gallery in downtown Greensburg has been offering “Gallery Night Out” experiences in its gallery studio.

These popular three hour sessions offer folks of any ability the chance to complete an acrylic painting in one evening under the direction of gallery artist Billy Dilkes.

Participants bring beverages and snacks of their choice, and the gallery provides all the supplies for each person to complete a 16” x 20” masterpiece! “This is the best thing to happen to Greensburg in a long time,” said regular participant Margie Marhanka.

Paintings by participants in these classes are the featured show for November at the Gallery. We welcome the public to stop by to see the great work by these students. Information and upcoming class schedules are also available for those who want to create their own piece of art.

“Gallery Night Out” works will be the feature of this week’s “Second Friday at the Gallery” event from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 9.

Come downtown and stop by the gallery at 114 E. Washington Street to meet the artists and enjoy refreshments.

Art on the Square Gallery, featuring work by local and regional artists, is open Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Thursdays from 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
