Sept. 20

Miranda Hartwell of Heritage House presents "Never 2 Late" computer system at 11:30 a.m. at Greensburg Adult Center.

Friends of Batesville Memorial Public Library are having a used book sales from Sept. 20 to 22. More than 1,000 books, videos, CD's, and books on tape will be sold from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the library annex, 10 W. Boehringer St. Friends' members may shop early starting at 8:30 a.m. Thursday. Prices are adult hardbacks $1, paperbacks $.50, all children's books $.25. Proceeds from the book sale will be used to help pay for library materials and programs. Donations are also welcome and may be placed in bins in the library lobby. The $2 per bag sale starts at 3 p.m. Saturday.

United Church of Christ in Osgood will host coffee social from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Homemade bread, coffee cakes, hot ham, cold cuts, tacos, macaroni and cheese, baked beans, green beans, hot potato salad, beef and noodles, salads, beverages and more will be served. Free will offering.

Sept. 21

Greensburg Adult Center trip to Indiana Grand Casino from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Cost is $6 for bus transportation. Lunch is on your own.

Sept. 22

GCHS Coat and Shoe Drive Distribution from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Greensburg Community High School.

Indiana Blood Center blood drive from 9 a.m. to noon at Rush Memorial Hospital in Rushville.

2012 Indiana Grand Classic Car Show from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at High Point Orchard.

From 9 a.m. to noon, the Rush County Conservation Club will host the third annual Outdoor Adventure Expo sponsored by the Hoosier Tree Dog Alliance and the Rush County Coonhunters. Register upon arrival. Morning includes youth-friendly activities to learn about fishing, hunting dogs, deer and turkey hunting, biology, trapping, camping, hunter safety, etc. Registered youths will be entered into a drawing for prizes.

Free snacks and lunch available. Trap range open for shooting shortly after noon.


Sept. 24

Read it and Eat it Teen Book Club: ÒMiss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children.Ó Program from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Greensburg-Decatur County Public Library.
