Aug. 14

Adult Center trip to the Indiana State Fair from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for "Golden Hoosiers Day." Admission is $2 with a voucher. Cost of transportation is $6. Sign up begins Aug. 2

Computers 101 Workshop at 10 a.m. at Library.

Monthly pitch-in dinner at 6 p.m. at Adult Center.

Miss Tree City 2012 is accepting applications until Sept. 1. Candidates must reside within Decatur County and be between 17 and 22 years of age. Preliminaries will be held on Thursday, Sept. 27 and the winner will be crowned immediately following the Littles on the stage Friday, Sept. 28. The winner of Miss Tree City will be competing for the title of Miss Indiana Festivals later this fall. Applications are also available at all area high schools as well as online @ www.treecityfallfestival.com.

Aug. 15

Decatur County Health Department immunization clinic will be held at 801 N. Lincoln Street, Greensburg. Call (812) 663-8301 for times and eligibility.

The 2012 Little Mr. and Miss Tree City Fall Festival Orientation Meeting is set for Wednesday, Aug. 15 at 6 p.m. in the Greensburg Public Library Meeting Room.

All boys and girls from Decatur County are eligible. They must be at least 4-years-old and not yet 8 by Sept. 1. The 2012 Little Mr. and Miss Pageant is presented by Honda Manufacturing of Indiana and set for Friday, Sept. 28 at 6 p.m. in downtown Greensburg. Power of the Past antique machinery show at Decatur County fairgrounds.

 

Aug. 17

Myranda Hartwell of Heritage House will demonstrate the Never 2 Late computer system at 11:30 a.m. at Adult Center.

Knights of Columbus will host a smoked pork chop or tenderloin (grilled or breaded) dinner from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Each dinner costs $6.50 and includes French fries or red potatoes and applesauce. A strip dinner is available for $4.50 and a deluxe meal is offered for an extra $.50.
