Decatur County Events Calendar - June 7, 2013

June 8

6 p.m. - Annual banquet and meeting of the New Salem High School Alumni takes place at the New Salem Lions Club Building. Feel free to come early and browse through the Eagles Nest, located at the school, and socialize with friends. Please send reservations to Marcia Carney Snyder at 1287 South State Road 3, Rushville, IN 46173. Reservations are $20 for alumni (dues and dinner) and $10 for spouses and guests.

June 9

Annual Maddux family reunion at Westport Community Center. Lunch is at 1 p.m. and includes fried chicken, iced tea (unsweetened) and lemonad. Movie Monday: Warm Bodies (Rated R) at Greensburg-Decatur County Public Library. Popcorn and drinks provided.

4 p.m. - Monthly meeting of the Alzheimer's support group at the Greensburg-Decatur County Public Library. Everyone is welcome.

June 11

2 p.m. - Spa Day at Greensburg-Decatur County Public Library grades K to 2. Registration is required.

June 12

10:30 a.m. - Free summer movie at Wolf Theatres: The Lorax

2 p.m. - The Water Show at Greensburg-Decatur County Public Library. Bring swimsuit and towel. Dry areas available for parents and infants.

June 13

All day - Make and Take program at Greensburg-Decatur County Public Library. Project is designing a cardboard tie for Father's Day.

1 p.m. - It Came From the Ground cooking program at Greensburg-Decatur County Public Library.

June 14

2 p.m. - Farmer's Market on the courthouse square.

Dusk - Second Friday Movie Series on the Square features Disney's Alice in Wonderland. Prior to the show, members of Tree County Players will demonstrate a preview of their production of Alice in Wonderland Jr., which takes the stage at 7 p.m. June 20 and 21 and 2 p.m. June 22, at the Greensburg Junior HIgh School Auditorium.

7 p.m. - Diggin' the Past - 50s Style at Greensburg-Decatur County Public Library. Optional to come dressed in 50s attire for chance to win prizes.
