County Board of Zoning Appeals meets at 7 p.m. in courthouse meeting room.

County Plan Commission meets at 7:30 p.m. in courthouse meeting room.

The free preschool program for children entering kindergarten in fall 2013 or 2014 will again be offered at Greensburg United Methodist Church. The classes are offered to children who are not presently enrolled in any other preschool. The class will meet at 6 p.m. every Wednesday night at the Greensburg United Methodist Church, and the sessions will last for approximately 90 minutes.

This program is directed by Jere' Sturges, a retired elementary preschool teacher. The goal is to offer a readiness program for the children  who will be entering kindergarten in the next two years, with suggestions for at-home activities and guidelines for child development progress.

Free blood pressure and blood sugar screenings from 10:30 to 11 a.m. at Greensburg Adult Center courtesy of Decatur Home Health Care.

St. John's Lutheran Church of Napoleon will host its monthly ÒCoffee SocialÓ featuring ham, German potato salad, homemade coffee cakes and more. Event begins at 4:30 p.m. and everyone is welcome. Carry-outs available.

ÒBook BuddiesÓ program for grades K to 2 from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. at Greensburg-Decatur County Public Library. Book is ÒWho's Afraid of the Big Bad Wolf?Ó

Sept. 8

Greensburg Masonic Lodge hosts all-you-can-eat breakfast from 7 to 10 a.m. Lodge is located on East Central Avenue, just east of Greensburg Community High School. Serving eggs any way you like them, bacon, sausage patties, biscuits and gravy and all the trimmings. Cost is $5 donation for adults and $3 for children under 12. Carry-outs available.
