10:30 a.m. - Free summer movie at Wolf Theatres: The Pirates! Band of Misfits.

1 to 3 p.m. - Euchre at Greensburg Adult Center.

1:30 p.m. - Canasta at Greensburg Adult Center.

4 to 6 p.m. - Kids’ Closet of Decatur County will be open at First Christian Church of Greensburg.

Aug. 1

8 a.m. - First day of school for preschool and elementary students at Good Shepherd Christian Academy.

Aug. 2

8 a.m. to 5 p.m. - Plein-Air Paint Out on the courthouse square. Participants receive continental breakfast, bottled water, sack lunch and chance to win door prizes.

2 p.m. - Farmer’s Market on the courthouse square.

Aug. 3

8 a.m. to 5 p.m. - Plein-Air Paint Out on the courthouse square. Reception follows; details at www.artsingreensburg.com.

Aug. 5

1 to 6:30 p.m. - St. Maurice Church, Napoleon, is sponsoring a community blood drive at the Parish Activity Center. All donors will received a Hoxworth Summer t’-shirt.

Aug. 8

11:30 a.m. - Annual Bohn Aluminum and Brass Division Lunch at Greensburg Country Club/McCamment’s. Meet at 11:30 a.m.; lunch buffet at noon.

Aug. 9

2 p.m. - Farmer’s Market on the courthouse square.

4:30 to 8:30 p.m. -”Junk in Your Trunk” garage sale on Washington Street, behind City Hall. Cost is $10 and space is limited. Fee will be donated to New Directions.

Dusk - Second Friday Movie Series on the Square presents Breakfast at Tiffany’s.

Aug. 15 to 18

Annual Greensburg Power of the Past will feature tractor games, flea market, food vendors, consignment auction, garden, tractor and horse pull, fiddle contest and more. Admission is $3 and up for persons age 12 and over. Children under age 12 are admitted at no charge.
