Decatur County Events Calendar

Aug. 30

6:30 p.m. - Bridge at Greensburg Adult Center.

PKC Labor Day Classic at Decatur County fairgrounds.

Aug. 31

7:30 a.m. - Registration begins for 5K run, walk, crawl at Carousel Play and Learn Center, 900 East Montgomery Road. The race begins at 8:30 a.m. Cost is $15 for individual registration. Please call Carousel for registration forms at 663-5060 or go to www.carouselplay.org.

Children of runners/walkers may run or walk for free.

9 a.m. to 3 p.m. - Old Thyme Gathering at 5827 West CR 700 North, St. Paul. Event features 15 to 20 homemade crafts vendors. Food available.

Sept. 1

11 a.m. - St. John's, Enochsburg, church picnic. Dinner includes chicken and roast beef. Event offers games, a beer garden, raffles and a silent auction.

11 a.m. - Burney-Clay Township Volunteer Fire Department's annual hog roast. Garden tractor pulling starts at 11 a.m. and farm stock tractor pulling begins at 6 p.m. For more information, call 663-8198.

Sept. 3

9 to 11 a.m. - Greensburg Mothers of Preschoolers (MOPS) will host their last meeting of the fall at the Community Church of Greensburg. Childcare is provided and all denominations are welcome.

Please join us on the first and third Tuesdays of the month (September to May) for two full hours of "mommy time." This includes breakfast, sharing, creative activities and speakers.

Sept. 5

4:30 p.m. - St. John's Lutheran Church of Napoleon have their monthly coffee social consisting of ham, German potato salad, homemade coffee cakes and more. Serving starts at 4:30 p.m.; carryouts welcome.
