Decatur County Events Calendar

Sept. 11

1 to 3 p.m. - Euchre at Greensburg Adult Center.

1:30 p.m. - Canasta at Greensburg Adult Center.

5 to 7 p.m. - College fair at Greensburg Community High School. All high school students are encouraged to attend.

Sept. 12

11:30 a.m. - Decatur County Retired Teachers Association (DCRTA) regular meeting at Cattleman’s Inn at the Greensburg Country Club. Retired teachers wishing to attend who are not currently members of the DCRTA should call Nita McNealy at 812-591-3374.

6 p.m. - Decatur County writers workshop and roundtable at Greensburg-Decatur County Public Library.

6:30 p.m. - $5 euchre tourney at Greensburg Adult Center.

7:30 p.m. - Lois Chapter #147, Order of the Eastern Star, will hold its regularly scheduled meeting at the Masonic Lodge, 1100 East Central Avenue.

All members are encouraged to attend. Our monthly scheduled meeting is at 7:30 p.m. each Thursday.

Sept. 13

10:30 a.m. - 3 p.m. - Greensburg Adult Center trip to Oldenburg. Details in newsletter.

1:30 p.m. - Bowling at Parkside Lanes.

2 p.m. - Farmer’s Market on the courthouse square.

4:30 to 8:30 p.m. - “Junk in Your Trunk” garage sale on Washington Street, behind City Hall. Cost is $10 and space is limited. Fee will be donated to Greensburg Bread of Life.

6:30 p.m. - Bridge at Greensburg Adult Center.

7 p.m. - Hot dog roast for grades 6 to 12 at library.

Dusk - Second Friday Movie Series on the Square presents Disney-Pixar’s Toy Story.

Sept. 14

7 to 10 a.m. - The Greensburg Masonic Lodge will host an all-you-can-eat breakfast at the lodge, which is located just east of Greensburg Community High School.

Breakfast includes eggs any way you like them, bacon, sausage patties, biscuits and gravy and all the trimmings. The cost is a donation of $5 for adults and $3 for kids 12 and under. Carry-outs are available.
