Decatur County Events Calendar

Aug. 18

Annual Greensburg Power of the Past will feature tractor games, flea market, food vendors, consignment auction, garden, tractor and horse pull, fiddle contest and more. Admission is $3 and up for persons age 12 and over. Children under age 12 are admitted at no charge.

Aug. 19

1:30 p.m. - Scrabble at Greensburg Adult Center.

6:30 p.m. - Euchre at Greensburg Adult Center.

Aug. 20

Last day to sign up for Parkside Sweet Shoppe miniature golf tournament. Tournament is at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 24.

1 to 3 p.m. - Euchre at Greensburg Adult Center.

Aug. 21

1 to 3 p.m. - Euchre at Greensburg Adult Center.

1 p.m. - Bridge at Greensburg Adult Center.

1:30 p.m. - Canasta at Greensburg Adult Center.

Aug. 22

6:30 p.m. - Daughters of Isabella will hold picnic and guest night at Knights of Columbus Hall. Hosting the picnic will be Arlene Gehl and Rose Hellmich.

Aug. 23

9 a.m. to 4 p.m. - Greensburg Adult Center trip to Rising Star Casino in Rising Sun.

1:30 p.m. - Greensburg Adult Center bowling at Parkside Lanes.

2 p.m. - Farmer's Market on the courthouse square.

6:30 p.m. - Bridge at Greensburg Adult Center.

Aug. 24

8 to 9 a.m. - Decatur County Family YMCA's fifth annual Tree City Rolling Tour Bike Ride. Event consists of 13, 30 and 62 mile routes. More information at

9 a.m. - The TCSC will be having an open horse show at the Decatur County fairgrounds

9 a.m. - James Johnson Memorial Co-Ed Softball Tournament sponsored by SDHS Booster Club. Event is at the Westport Park. Cost is $50 entry fee per team. Proceeds go toward scholarships. For more information, contact Wendy Kopplin at 812-614-1859.

9 a.m. - On Eagle's Wings 5K Run/Walk at St. Mary's School, 1331 East Hunter Robbins Way. Registration begins at 8 a.m. Kids Fun Run starts at 10 a.m.
