GREENSBURG – Another week brings more animals currently housed at the Greensburg/Decatur County Animal Shelter in need of loving permanent homes.
This week, the Daily News presents Hans and Valentino. Hans is a young shepherd mix who was found out in the cold and brought to the shelter by a Greensburg citizen. Shelter workers report Hans is a very sweet, well-behaved dog with a good temperament. He’s been gaining weight and is ready to find his forever home. Hans can be adopted for $100, which includes his neuter, treatment for parasites and his vaccines.
Valentino is a six month old domestic shorthair cat. He has lovely markings on his coat and with his holiday-themed name, he would be the perfect Valentine’s Day gift for one lucky cat lover. Valentino is very sweet and loves to be petted. He gets along wonderfully with the other cats at the shelter and would make a great addition to any family. Valentino can be adopted for $75, which includes his neuter, vaccines and treatment for parasites.
Every pet adopted from the shelter is vaccinated, has been treated for parasites and is spayed or neutered, all of which is included in the adoption fee. Would-be pet owners must be aware that there is a leash ordinance in the city and in the county, pets must not roam from the owner’s property.
If interested in providing a permanent loving home for Hans or Valentino, please contact the Greensburg/Decatur County Animal Shelter for further details.
Also, a complete list of adoptable cats and dogs is available at the shelter’s website: http://www.cityofgreensburg.com/animal.html. The pets from last week’s Shelter Spotlight are still available for adoption.
