Greensburg — The St. Maurice Extension Homemakers held their April meeting at the home of Rita Hellmich.

Rita opened the meeting with a poem.

Elaine Nobbe, president, presided at the meeting.

All recited the club creed and the pledge to the flag.

The thought of the month was read.

Five members answered roll call with their favorite flower.

The song April Showers was sung.

Jamie Nobbe gave the treasurer's report.

The club sent flowers to the viewing for our deceased club member, Esther Wallpe. Esther was a charter member of our club.

Rosie Wenning gave the Health and Safety lesson. She told about the portions of food for a serving: meat the size of a deck of cards, fish the size of a checkbook, bunch of grapes the size of a light bulb, and an apple or orange the size of a tennis ball.

Dues for the coming year was collected.

The club talked about the Women Just Want To Have Fun day coming up in the fall and also discussed working at the fair.

The same officers were elected for the coming year with Elaine Nobbe, president; Rita Hellmich, vice president; Eileen Fisse, secretary and reporter; and Jamie Nobbe, treasurer.

The hostess served refreshments and Rosie Wenning won the door prize.

The next meeting will be at 7 p.m. May 3 at the home of Jamie Nobbe.
