Greensburg — GREENSBURG - The Greensburg Rotary Club held its 11th annual Euchre Tournament to benefit the Special Olympics on Saturday, Feb. 25 at the Knights of St. John Hall.

In all, 102 players vied for the top prize of $1,000. After the morning round ended, 52 players moved on to the

afternoon championship round. Bob Volz emerged the top winner, followed by Jamie Barnett ($500), Loren Gale Fogle ($250), Gail Spegal ($150) and Margie Scudder ($100).

Margie Scudder also earned $50 for the most "lones" in the afternoon with Kenny Sizemore taking the prize in the morning session. The consolation round included 19 players. Joe Taylor came in first taking home $57.00 with Carolyn Settles settling for second place and $38.00.

The Greensburg Rotary Club will again be using proceeds from the Euchre Tournament to charter a bus for our local Special Olympians to travel to the summer games in Terre Haute. The Rotary Foundation and other charitable organizations will also benefit from the tournament earnings.
