Shelter Spotlight: Lisa and Belle

GREENSBURG – This week, the Daily News presents Lisa and Belle from the Greensburg/Decatur County Animal Shelter in need of loving permanent homes. Lisa is a lovely one year old cat. She is very loving and solicits attention. She is okay with other cats, after having a little while to get to know them. Shelter workers said she would make an amazing companion.

Belle is a two year old spaniel mix. Shelter workers said she is a bit standoffish at first, but she comes around quickly and is very much lap-dog material. She walks well on a leash and gets along okay with other dogs. She is fine with cats as well.

Lisa can be adopted for a fee of $75 and Belle can be adopted for a fee of $100, which includes vaccinations, treatment for parasites and spaying.

The Greensburg/Decatur County Animal Shelter is located at 1635 West Park Road and can be reached at 812-663-9081.

Decatur County residents may bring stray and unwanted pets to the animal shelter at no cost.

A complete list of adoptable cats and dogs is available at the shelter’s website: http://www.cityofgreensburg.com/animal.html.

Sydney and Suzie, the pets featured in last week’s Shelter Spotlight, have not yet found their forever homes and are still available for adoption.
