The 6th Gilliland Howe Children’s Health and Safety Fair was a well-attended event with several sporting events, and being the first weekend of fall break for all the local kids we still welcomed a total of 650 people.
Attendees enjoyed a very warm fun family day with many events, information, food, and games. Not only did we have this years fair in a great big new location at the Decatur County Family YMCA but we added a few new events thanks to the YMCA. The first kids fun run was well attended in each of the 4 catagories and they also had a lot of famiies take advantage of the Free swimming that was also courtesy of the YMCA from 1 to 4 p.m.
