Thanks for parade success

Dear Editor:

The Omega Chapter of Kappa Kappa Kappa would like to extend our appreciation to all of those involved in helping make the Fourth of July parade a success. Despite the rain, we had a great turn out and couldn’t have done it without the help of our many friends of Decatur County!

To Porter-Oliger-Pearson funeral home, thank you for the use of your porch during the parade, as well as distributing American flags, necklaces and other patriotic accessories. We also would like to thank Gilliland-Howe funeral home for the use of your parking lot and donating the popsicles for the parade participants. We truly appreciate your help in making the parade a success.

Thank you to Wal-Mart for donating the bottled water that we handed out to the participants as well. Your willingness to help us out again this year is greatly appreciated. A big thank you goes to WTRE, Sandy Biddinger, and Greensburg Daily News for always being willing to promote community events. Thank you for continuing to support the parade and covering it for us.

As always, we would like to thank the American Legion for your patriotic participation and also, the Police Department, Sheriff’s Department and the Fire Department for your assistance in clearing the streets and participating in the parade. And lastly we want to say thank you to all of the individuals and groups who participated in the parade. It is because of you that the parade remains a community tradition generation after generation. We thank you again, for helping us “Paint the Town With Kindness.”

Sincerely,

AnnMarie Colson
