I see a very alarming trend in our society today.
On a local note, I am wondering how it can be that a person can, in my opinion, steal $17,000 in unapproved pay raises and do no prison time? What example does this set for our community? Furthermore, I can see someone using this case as a defense to avoid serving time for crimes committed in the future.
On a national note, some land has been set aside in various parts of our country as a habitat for endangered species. Federal laws have been passed to further protect endangered species. I find it very concerning that anyone who hosts a nationally televised program would use their air time to encourage the breaking of federal laws.
Yet that is what Sean Hannity of Fox News does. He has spent the last two weeks using his program in staunch support of a rich, fat Texas rancher that has willfully and intentionally violated federal laws by sending his cattle to trample the habitat of an endangered species.
As Sean Hannity documented on his own program on April 24, he has consistently stood in support of those who break federal laws by violating the habitats of endangered species. Not long ago, he spent two months professing outrage against the loss of four American lives in Benghazi and at the same time he shows a clear disdain for the protection of endangered species.
He has repeatedly accused the Obama administration of wrongdoing while standing in support of rich people who want to destroy protected habitats for the sole purpose of personal financial gain. I wonder how it is that he can fall asleep at night?
I believe Sean Hannity has no business hosting any program of any kind, whether it be television, radio or other. Neither is he anything close to being a conservative.
