Greensburg Police Chief Brian Heaton (left) and Mayor Gary Herbert (right) swear in two new officers who have recently joined the ranks of the GPD. Officers Glenn Hartford (middle left) and Chris Bridges take the oath to protect the citizens of Greensburg at the monthly meeting of the Board of Works.

Both Bridges and Hartford have served in the United States Military overseas in the war on terrorism.

“We are very excited to have Glenn and Chris on board,” Chief Heaton said.

One of the new officers is a replacement for a departing member of the GPD, while the other is a new addition.

“We’re glad to finally have officer number 20,” Heaton added.
