DCYSC fall registration ends tomorrow

The Decatur County Youth Soccer Club is opening fall season registration via the Decatur County Youth Soccer Club website www.dcysc.org.

Register for the DCYSC Fall Soccer Season now as registration ends tomorrow.

Tiger Sharks in summer action

The Decatur County Tiger Sharks, in affiliation with the Decatur County Parks and Recreation, are in the middle of summer competition.

If anyone would like more information regarding the Tiger Sharks program, or Greensburg swimming in general, please contact coach Josh at dcts@ymail.com.

Redlegs Baseball tryouts approaching

The Redlegs Baseball Club will be conducting tryouts for the 2014 season on two upcoming dates: Thursday, Aug. 8 at the Geneva Rec Center in Scipio from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., and Saturday, Aug. 10 at Kohler Park in Greensburg from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. All are welcome to attend.

Pirate Wrestling Golf Scramble set

Join the Greensburg Pirate Wrestling team in the Third Annual Pirate Wrestling Golf Scramble.

This tournament is open to the public and takes place Saturday, July 20 at the Greensburg Country Club. The shotgun start is set for 1 p.m., and the tournament costs $45 per golfer, four-man scramble.

Competitions will include two “Closest to the Pin” and “Longest Drive” contests. Each golfer will receive a $5 gift certificate for the pro shop.

Hole sponsorships and donations are welcome.

Proceeds from this camp offset lodging, travel, and food costs of our summer team camp. This year, the Pirate wrestlers attended the Iron Sharpens Iron camp in DeWitt, Iowa, and participated in technique sessions with national champion wrestlers and competed in dual meets from teams from around the country.
