The fourth annual Decatur County Right to Life “Supper for Life” will offer local residents a variety of home-cooked food Saturday evening.
According to a press release, dinner will be served from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Saturday in the Family Life Center of First Christian Church. The church is located at 425 North Broadway.
The menu includes a choice of grilled smoked pork chop or chicken breast at a cost of $10. That amount also includes a salad bar, hash brown casserole, green beans, rolls, a drink and a dessert.
Children ages 3 to 10 may receive the same meal for $5, while kids under the age of 3 eat free.
The meal is planned to be followed by a cakewalk.
Reservations may be made by calling Pat Koors at 812-614-0595, Patty Hensley at 812-663-4118, or Carol Kramer at 812-663-6765.
Those wishing to volunteer their time to the event may do so as well. Call Pat Koors if interested in donating time, funds or food.
Sunday will also be a busy day for Decatur County Right to Life members as the group will form its first “life chain” from 2 to 3 p.m. on North Lincoln Street.
The chain starts at the sidewalks in front of McDondald’s and Arby’s. Various tables along the site will offer signs those joining the chain may choose to hold during the demonstration.
“This is a great opportunity for you and your family to be a silent witness and show support for the unborn and those unable to defend their rights,” notes a Right to Life newsletter.
Those interested in attending may contact Koors or Kramer at the previously mentioned numbers, or Monica Neuman at 812-527-2320.
