Pirate 7B girls fall to Waldron

The Greensburg 7B girls basketball team lost to Waldron by 39-10. Anna Venable led the Pirates in scoring with six points. Claire Dennett and Meghan Stapp each added two points.

SOUTH DECATURSouth J.H. girls sweep Ben Rush

The South Decatur girls junior high basketball teams swept Ben Rush Feb. 18.

The 7th Grade Lady Cougars picked up their first win of the season, 32-18.

Annie Gant led the Cougars with 11 points, 4 rebounds and 8 steals. Hannah Ballard had 10 points, 2 rebounds and 6 steals

More stats: Karah Biddinger - 4 points, 2 rebounds and 6 steals; Katie Vanderbur - 3 points, 6 rebounds and 2 steals; Samantha Goodfellow - 2 points, and 3 rebounds; Hannah Miller - 2 points and 5 rebounds.

The South eighth grade girls evened their record to 3-3 by picking up a 40-25 win.

Madison Green led the Cougars with 9 points, 3 rebounds and 4 steals. Taylor Best had 8 points, 3 steals and 3 assists.

Hauser beats South J.H. girls

The South Decatur junior high basketball teams fell to Hauser in recent action, Feb. 19.

The seventh graders fell 42-20.

Scoring: Karah Biddinger - 7 points, 7 rebounds, 3 steals and 3 assists; Annie Gant - 7 points, Hannah Ballard - 4 points, 3 rebounds, 3 steals and 1 assist; Madison Owens - 2 points, 4 rebounds, 3 steals and 1 assist; Hannah Miller had 6 rebounds.

The eighth graders fell to Hauser 38-30.

The Lady Cougars played hard the whole game and battled to the end but came up short.

South was led in scoring by Madison Green with 8 points, 5 rebounds and 2 steals.

Taylor Best-7 points, and 5 steals.

Brooke Owens had played a great game with 4 points, and did a great job rebounding with 17, 6 steals and 4 assists.
