2014 election information

Anyone wishing to file a declaration of candidacy for the 2014 Primary Election may obtain forms from the Clerk’s Office or on the Secretary of State’s website, www.in.gov/sos/elections.

Jan. 8, 2014 is the first day a major political party candidate may file to be placed on the Primary Election Ballot. The filing period will close at noon Feb. 7.

Additional information is available at the Clerk’s Office during regular Courthouse hours.

Clerk’s Office closing early on New Year’s Eve

The Decatur County Clerk’s Office will close at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 31, in order to complete the end of year procedures necessary for the office’s management and financial systems.

The clerk’s office will re-open at 8 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 2.
