Greensburg — Monday and Tuesday will be busy days for Greensburg Elementary School(GES), in the midst of an open house, science fair, and family fun nights.

According to science specialist, Linda Kramer, GES will be judging its fourth, fifth and some third grade students on their scientific endeavors from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. Monday Feb. 4.

Kramer said there are about 25 third grade students voluntarily participating in the science fair. All students will receive a first, second and third place placement, as well as placements for overall champions.

The categories are life science, physical science, and earth and space science.

From 6 to 7 p.m. that Monday, the fourth grade will also be having their family fun nights.

Kramer said during the family fun nights, parents will have a chance to see the projects on which the kids have been working. The classes will sing for their parents, and dessert will be served from the cafeteria.

On Tuesday, the school will be open from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. for an open house. Visiting family must check in at the front office with identification.

From 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, the fifth grade will have family fun night.

Parents were required to sign up for family fun night, said Kramer, and those attending have likely signed up by this point.

Questions can be directed to GES staff at 812-663-8112.
