Police searching for bank robber

Greensburg — Local police are searching for a man they say stole an undisclosed amount of money from a Greensburg bank Friday afternoon.

The incident occurred at approximately 2:10 p.m. when the Greensburg Police Department (GPD) was notified of a bank robbery at Old National Bank, located at 1801 North Greensburg Crossing.

The suspect, a white male believed to be in his mid-20’s and wearing a black letterman-like jacket with red sleeves, stole the money without displaying a weapon. The man was also wearing dark sunglasses and a black baseball cap with a red bill. The word “Atlanta” was written across the front of the hat.

The suspect, who was photographed by a surveillance camera, also has a tattoo on his neck, under his ear, on the right side of his body.

A press release from the GPD states the suspect may be traveling in a yellow Jeep Wrangler with a black hard top. The vehicle was last seen towing a single-axle, flatbed trailer, and was northbound on North Broadway Street from Old National Bank in Greensburg.

Anyone with information concerning the suspect can reach the Greensburg Police Department by calling 812-663-3131. Anonymous tips can be left at 812-662-7463.
