Greensburg Daily News

---- — Sandcreek Baptist Church

Our calendar seems to be filling up again with spring/Easter activities.

First of all, it is important that you know and “SAVE THE DATE” for next Sunday’s business meeting immediately following our 10 a.m. traditional worship service. We encourage all members to stay and help in making decisions that concern the business and ministry of our church.

The youth are planning an Easter program and will be announcing parts. If you are asked to participate, please say “Yes” and then plan to attend all upcoming practices on following Sunday evenings during your usual meeting time. Looking forward to your music and its message.

The Faith Singers are also practicing on our Easter cantata, “Amazing Grace.” We will still accept any and all voices that want to join us in making a “joyful noise to the Lord” – hopefully in full harmony.

The ABWM are asking and encouraging all who can/will sew to help assemble our “little dresses for Africa.” We need to get them put together and on their way to the girls who are in need of them. If you can help in any way, please let Barb or Dianna know.

It’s been a while since we’ve talked about Bible reading. Mine has gotten delayed a bit. I plan to get back to it this week. How about you? I got stuck in Numbers, but don’t let that discourage you.

I’ve also neglected mentioning the “Love Boxes” and our offerings to them. This time of year makes me especially thankful for the sacrifice Jesus made for me/us all those years ago. His action is still effective, current and in full force. We can say “Thank You” with a donation to our Love Box today/this week.

I hope, especially at this time of year, that you are making a special effort to attend a church service somewhere. Maybe you will choose to be with us at Sandcreek Baptist. Still saving you that seat up front by me.
