---- — Jimmie Johnson’s 10th-place finish in Sunday’s Ford EcoBoost 400 NASCAR season’s finale at Homestead-Miami Speedway was enough to secure the California native his sixth NASCAR Sprint Cup Series championship. Johnson’s closest NASCAR challenger, Matt Kenseth, finished second in the season’s final race and second in the Chase for the 2013 NASCAR Sprint Cup title. Kenseth’s Joe Gibbs Racing teammate Denny Hamlin held off late race challenges by Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Kenseth to win his first race of the season.
