---- — CLARKSBURG – The Clarksburg Volunteer Fire Department will be holding the inaugural pork chop dinner on November 9, starting at 5 p.m., at the Clarksburg fire station.
For just $10, attendees can get an 8 ounce smoked pork chop, two sides, a drink and cookies. Children under the age of 12 may eat for free, with a dinner of hot dogs, chips, a drink and cookies.
Carry out and drive up meals will be available for those who are unable to dine inside. The fire department plans for this to become an annual event.
The winner of the Henry “Golden Boy” Rifle Raffle will be drawn at 6 p.m.
This event will be sponsored by the Clarksburg Community Volunteer Fire Department and Decatur County Cert Team 1.
All proceeds will benefit the fire department for equipment upgrades and for a new fire station at Lake Santee.
