Greensburg — The Community Christmas Sing-a-long scheduled for Dec. 22 has been canceled due to scheduling issues.

“The event needs a lot of musically inclined people,” said Bryan Robbins, Main Street Greensburg director, “Many of those individuals are very, very busy at this time.”

With Christmas activities around the corner, Robbins took the blame for being unable to find a suitable time for the Sing-a-long contestants to meet simultaneously.

“The bottom line is I need to do a better job scheduling,” said Robbins.

He hopes that next year’s Sing-a-long will be bigger and better than what had been planned for this year. Next year will likely see school and church choirs’ participation.

Additionally, a final opportunity to sit with Santa will take place from 4:30 to 7 p.m., Friday Dec. 21 at the Courthouse.

“I invite everyone to come and talk to Santa,” Robbins said. He also thanked everyone who helped with the Holiday Walk.

“We appreciate all the help they give.”
