Parsons ride gearing up for another tour

Greensburg — Organizers of the Devin Lee Parsons Never Be Forgotten Ride are revving up for the third annual edition of the event, to be held June 22.

According to a flyer provided to the Daily News by Ride organizer Bob Parsons, riders will leave from Knights of Columbus Hall in Greensburg at 11:30 a.m. Registration runs from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. The cost is $10 for single riders and $15 for doubles.

Following the ride, participants are invited to stay for food, live music and other entertainment at the Knights of Columbus. Admission to the after-ride party is $5 for anyone age 16 and over.

The event will feature a “Super Raffle,” with the top winner receiving a 2013 Harley Davidson Heritage Softtail motorcycle or $15,000 cash. The second-place winner will receive $2,000 cash, while third place will win a $500.00 cash prize.

Several bands will perform at the event according to the flyer, including Weeds of Eden; the Cat Fish Davis Funk & Blues Band; the Doug-Tre Dillman with Dr. Mark Blues Band; and Jimmy Yorn and Hayden Bundren.

There will also be a bounce house, popcorn, snow cones, corn hole games, and hamburgers and hot dogs provided by the DLP Foundation.
