10:30 a.m. - Free summer movie at Wolf Theatres: Rise of the Guardians.

July 4

10 a.m. - Tri-Kappa Fourth of July Parade begins downtown. Decatur County Historical Society will sell homemade ice cream sundaes at the museum.

July 5

2 p.m. - Farmer's Market on the courthouse square.

July 8

4 p.m. - The regular meeting of the Alzheimer's Support Group will take place at the Greensburg-Decatur County Public Library. Everyone is welcome to attend.

July 10

9:30 a.m. - Columus Star Quilters Guild regular meeting at Masonic Lodge at 4131 Rocky Ford Road. All interested persons welcome to attend. Doors open at 8:45 a.m. Sue Cortese, a quilt teacher from Holland, Mich., will give a lecture on "Why Dye Fabrics." There is no charge for the regular meeting. A fabric dyeing workshop will take place from 1 to 4 p.m. Cost to attend is $35.

10:30 a.m. - Free summer movie at Wolf Theatres: Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked.

Noon to 4 p.m. - American Red Cross blood drive at Collection Associates.

July 11

4:30 p.m. - St. John's Lutheran Church of Napoleon will have their monthly coffee social featuring ham, German hot potato salad, homemade coffee cakes, etc. Serving begins at 4:30 p.m. Carry-outs are available.

July 12

2 p.m. - Farmer's Market on the courthouse square.

4:30 to 8:30 p.m. - "Junk in Your Trunk" garage sale on courthouse square. Cost is $10 and space is limited. Fee will be donated to Greensburg's Meals on Wheels.

Dusk - Second Friday Movie Series on the Square presents Singin' in the Rain.

July 13

Big Brothers-Big Sisters annual Race for Kids’ Sake begins at 8 a.m. Registration begins at 7:15 a.m. Early registration fee is $20 if postmarked by July 1; registration is $25 day of event. Those pre-registered for the 5K and 3K will receive a t-shirt. Event also features Mini Race for Kids, which is a 3K run for ages 14 and under at 8 a.m. Pre-registration fee is $15. 100-yard “Kids Dash” for children age 10 and under starts at 9 a.m. Registration fee for that event is $5. A medal will be given to all Kids Dash participants. Entry forms can be obtained at the BBBS office located at 420 South Michigan Avenue, Greensburg.
