Greensburg Youth Football signups at County Fair

Greensburg Youth Football will be conducting signups at the Decatur County Fair.

Registration this year is free for all football players and cheerleading will be the T-shirt cost, which they will be able to keep. Greensburg Football T-shirts order forms will also be available.

GJHS summer XC practices start Monday

Greensburg Junior High School cross country summer practices will occur every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday starting July 15, from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. Athletes should be prepared to run with proper attire and a water bottle.

Redlegs Baseball 13U tryouts approaching

The Redlegs Baseball Club will be conducting 13U tryouts for the 2014 season on two upcoming dates: Thursday, Aug. 8 at the Geneva Rec Center in Scipio at 6 p.m., and Saturday, Aug. 10 at Kohler Park in Greensburg at 1 p.m. All are welcome to attend.

South varsity/JV volleyball team camp

Any girl entering grades 9-12 interested in playing South Decatur varsity or JV volleyball next year should attend team camp July 22-25 from 8 a.m. to noon. Cost is $75 and must be paid by the first day of camp. All girls must have a physical on file before they can participate. Any questions contact Coach Lisa Bennett at lisabennett@decaturco.k12.in.us.

South varsity/JV volleyball season

South Decatur volleyball season will begin on July 29 for any girl grade 9 to 12 who is interested in trying out for the varsity and JV volleyball teams. Conditioning will be from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m., July 29 to Aug. 1. First full practice will be after school from 3:35 to 6 p.m. on Aug. 5.
