Decatur County Community Foundation seeks intern

Greensburg — Two summer semester internship opportunities are available at the Decatur County Community Foundation.

Full or part – time undergraduate or graduate students enrolled in accredited two or four year Indiana colleges and universities are eligible to apply.

These internships are intended to provide real-life work experiences for students wishing to advance their educational and personal development. The placements will introduce those selected to the roles community foundations and philanthropy play in the quality of life for our community.

The first intern position will be for a student preferably pursuing a degree in the areas of marketing, public relations or communications. This will be a 32-hour per week position, and the ideal candidate for this position will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The individual must be able to think creatively and strategically, and be able to work in a creative environment. The candidate should be proficient in Microsoft office, and knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.

The second intern position will be for a student preferably pursuing a degree in computer visual graphics/design or communications. This will be a 32-hour per week position, and the ideal candidate will have experience in graphic design or web site creation, and excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.

Both of these positions will be funded by a grant from Lilly Endowment Inc., and are offered as part of the Community Foundation Internships (CFI) program, which is administered through the GIFT (Giving Indiana Funds for Tomorrow) program at the Indiana Grantmakers Alliance. CFI will further the Endowment’s efforts to build healthy community foundations and provide high quality internship opportunities in Indiana.  Information about the program, as well as job postings, will be available at the Indiana INTERNnet website: http:www.indianaintern.net.
